How to complete your Visa Application

Once you've accepted your sponsorship offer, click Start Visa Application in the platform.

You’ll need to answer 2 questions to confirm some details your employer has already shared. This helps decide what happens next - whether you can do your ID check online through the UKVI app or if you’ll need to go to attend a physical biometric appointment.

You’ll see a list of all sections that need to be filled out to complete your visa application.

Click Start next to each one to begin entering your details.

Once you complete a section, the label will update from Start to Edit, and a checkmark will appear to show it's done.

You can return to any completed section at any time to make changes if needed.

When you select to add a partner or child, new fields will automatically appear for you to complete.

Once the Family Information section is completed, each dependent’s application will appear next to the your own. You can then click into each dependent to fill out their details individually.

However, if you want all visas to have the same expiry date as the main applicant’s new visa, you can choose to apply for their renewals at this time.

Each section will display a Confirm button once it's filled. Clicking Edit reopens the section for changes if needed.

After confirming each section, the system will automatically progress to the next.

Once all sections are confirmed, the Continue button will appear. You will need to confirm that all information entered is accurate before submitting.

Standard Processing: Typically takes 6–8 weeks for the Home Office to make a decision.

Priority Processing: Costs £738.80 and guarantees a decision within 5 working days. This includes the Home Office priority fee as well as Borderless Priority, meaning we will also fast-track your application on our side to ensure faster handling.

If Borderless requests changes to your visa application, you’ll see a message prompting you to update your form.

You can view the requested changes within the platform and click Edit to update the relevant section.

After making the changes, click Continue to resubmit your updated application to Borderless.

If ID checks are required, you’ll see this status in the app:

You will receive an email with instructions and guidance in the app on how to complete your ID check and set up Borderless as a helper on your UKVI account.

After completing the ID checks, return to the app and click Confirm ID Check Completed to proceed.

The next available appointment will be at least 3 weeks away & sometimes costs up to £150 per person so if possible, we highly recommend that you try using the app to verify your identity.

You can track your visa application status anytime in the Visas section.

Click Details to view your application info and any uploaded documents.
