How to manage employees in Borderless - view and add team members, upload documents, track compliance, and handle departures.

πŸ“‹ Viewing Employees

  • Head to the Employees tab to view a full list of current and previous employees.

This table includes key details such as:

  • Employee name

  • Assigned business and site

  • Visa type and expiry date

  • Sponsorship status

  • Compliance score

🟒 What is a Compliance Score?

The compliance score reflects how many mandatory documents have been submitted for an employee. A low score means required information is missing.

βœ… Mandatory Documents Include:

  • Employment details (role offered)

  • Passport

  • Right to work

  • Employment contracts

  • Recruitment process evidence

  • Address

  • Contact details

  • Visa details

  • DBS check

  • CoS

βž• Adding a New Employee

To add someone manually:

  1. Go to the Employees tab.

  2. Click Add Employee to open the form.

  3. Fill in: Personal details, Employment info, Sponsorship and visa details

ℹ️ Employees who apply for a visa via Borderless are automatically added here.

If you wish to upload multiple sponsored employees at once, you can use our Bulk Import feature on the platform.

πŸ“‚ Uploading Additional Documents

Users can add extra documents to an employee’s profile via the Documents tab. When uploading a document:

  1. Select the document type

  2. Upload the file

  3. Optionally, add an issue or expiry date

Uploaded files will appear in the Documents tab.

❌ Removing an Employee

When employment ends:

  1. Click Remove Employee from their profile.

  2. Select a reason and an effective date.

  3. The employee will be moved from Current to Previous in the Employees tab.
