We have made completing your visa application faster and clearer from start to finish. Here is what is new.
Your document checklist, upfront
Before you upload anything, you will now see exactly which documents you need for your application. The list is tailored to your situation, so there is no more guessing or finding out later that something was missing.
We only ask for what is relevant to you
A few short questions at the start mean you are only asked for the documents that actually apply to your case, such as a marriage certificate or a police certificate, rather than a long generic list. If something does not apply to you, you will not be asked for it.
Upload once, checked in seconds
You upload all your documents in one place, and each one is checked as soon as it lands. If something is not right, you will know straight away and can replace it there and then, rather than waiting to hear back.
A shorter form
After your documents are uploaded, we only ask you to fill in the details we could not read from them. Anything we can read is filled in for you and labelled with the document it came from, and you can edit it if you need to.
Is there anything I need to set up?
No. The new experience appears automatically when you open an eligible visa application. There is nothing to switch on.
