To allow our immigration team to take action on your behalf, we require access to your SMS. This ensures we can act legally and compliantly in supporting your immigration needs.
To do this, you'll need to add Borderless as both a Representative and a Level 1 User on your license.
🚩 Please note: If you applied for your sponsor license through Borderless, we are added as your representative automatically. You will only need to add Borderless as a Level 1 user.
🔍 Why This Matters
Representative – Allows us to communicate with the Home Office on your behalf.
Level 1 User – Gives us secure access to manage your SMS, including assigning CoS, submitting changes, and supporting sponsorship tasks.
Note: You'll keep your own Level 1 User access. Multiple Level 1 Users are allowed, but there can only be one Authorising Officer.
To begin the process:
Navigate to Settings > Sponsor Licenses.
Click on 'Add License'
Click on 'Integrate an existing Sponsor License'
✅ Step 1: Add Borderless as a Representative
If Borderless did not assist you with your Sponsor License, then you will need to begin with adding Borderless as Representative.
Click 'Add Borderless as Your Representative' to be taken to the form.
Follow the step-by-step instructions in your SMS to officially add Borderless as your representative - make sure that you click 'Submit' at the end of the form, otherwise the information on this form will be lost.
Once you have submitted the form, you’ll receive an Add Representative Form via PandaDoc shortly, which you will need to sign. We will then prioritise your request to add Borderless as a Representative - this typically takes between 3-5 working days to be approved.
Once you have received confirmation that we have been added as a Representative, you will be required to complete the form to Add Borderless as a Level 1 User.
✅ Step 2: Add Borderless as a Level 1 User.
Once a sponsor license has been granted - or Borderless has been added as a representative on an existing license - we must also be added as a Level 1 User to access the SMS and act on your behalf.
Click 'Add Borderless as Your L1 User' to be taken to the form.
Once this form is complete, Borderless will request that the Home Office prioritises this request, on behalf of the customer to ensure that L1 access is granted as quickly as possible - this would be a £200 Home Office fee.
🎉 Once both integrations steps have been completed, steps on the menu will be marked as Complete!
