We’re here to make sponsorship compliance easier, so you can focus on what matters most: running your business and supporting your team.
To get started, we’ll need access to your Sponsor Management System (SMS) so we can legally and compliantly act on your behalf. This involves adding Borderless as both a Representative and a Level 1 User.
Why This Matters
Representative - This lets us communicate directly with the Home Office on your behalf.
Level 1 User - This gives us our own secure login so we can compliantly manage your SMS, including assigning Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), submitting change of circumstances, SMS changes, and supporting you with general sponsorship tasks.
NB: You’ll still remain a Level 1 User and you’d have your own login details. There can be multiple Level 1 Users, but only one Authorising Officer.
What You Need to Do
Step 1: Add Borderless as Your Representative by completing this form.
We’ll submit the request using the Home Office priority service, which incurs a £200 government priority fee.
Once you receive confirmation that we’ve been added as Representative, you can move on to Step 2. Please note that confirmation will come via email direct to the Authorising Officer, and Borderless won't see a copy. We're also not always notified when this has been confirmed.
Step 2: Add Borderless as a Level 1 User by completing this form.
What happens next:
If our status shows as ‘Active’ - perfect! You're all set!
If it shows as ‘Requested’, we’ll escalate it via the Home Office priority service to speed up the decision. This will also incur a £200 government priority fee.
Once you receive confirmation from the Home Office that we’ve been added as Level 1 User, just let us know.
