Priority Request Timeline
When you pay for a priority COS slot, you can now follow the full process from your case view in Borderless - no need to contact us for updates.
Your COS request page now shows a Priority Request Timeline: a chronological list of every chase email we have sent to the Home Office on your behalf, along with the current status of your case. The status badge shows one of four stages: Submitted, Chasing, Priority Secured, or COS Assigned.
Alongside the timeline, you will see a live estimate of how long priority slots are currently taking to secure, shown as a range in working days and based on recently completed cases. This estimate also appears on the payment confirmation page.
Updated Payment Page
The payment confirmation page now clearly explains what your priority fee covers before you confirm payment. Borderless will submit a priority request to the Home Office and chase daily until a slot is secured. The Home Office controls the availability of priority slots - demand frequently exceeds supply and we cannot guarantee a priority slot will be awarded. If a slot cannot be secured, we will advise you on next steps.
The page also shows the current typical wait time based on recent cases, and signposts you to track the full process in your case view.
Automated Email Updates
You will now receive automated emails at three key milestones: when your priority request is submitted to the Home Office, each time a daily chase is sent, and when a slot is secured. Emails are sent to the employer account owner.
How to access
Open any COS request where a priority slot has been requested. The Priority Request Timeline panel appears on the case detail page.
