🟢 Standard CoS Request

  • Cost: Free

  • Processing time: Up to 8 weeks by the Home Office

  • Best for: When you have time and aren’t in a rush to hire

🔴 Priority CoS Request

  • Cost: £200 per request (this fee covers the whole request, not each individual CoS)

  • Processing time: Up to 10 working days by the Home Office

  • Best for: Urgent hires when you need the CoS processed faster

📌 Important Things to Know

  • There is no Priority option for Defined CoS requests (these are for candidates applying from outside the UK).

  • Once a CoS request has been submitted, it cannot be changed to priority service. You will need to make sure that priority service is requested before the submission.

  • The Home Office often asks for more information before making a decision, so:

    • Make sure you include at least one named individual in your CoS request (the more named people, the better!). This can be for new hires or re-sponsoring current employees whose visas are expiring soon.

    • Provide all requested additional information clearly in the platform to avoid delays.
