An Undefined CoS is for someone who is already in the UK.
They may be switching sponsors or changing visa types (like from a student visa to a work visa).
They already have a visa but need a new CoS for their next step.
The process for an Undefined CoS is usually less strict than for a Defined CoS since the person is already in the country.
