Once you have agreed to work with us, getting set up is a guided journey. You will sign your contract, set up payment, and then be walked through adding your business and sponsor licence details. This guide explains each step and what you need to have ready.

Everything starts with one email. When your account is ready, we send you a Get Started email with a secure link. You can sign your contract and enter your payment details directly from that link, without needing to log in first. Your login is set up for you once payment is complete.

Open the link in your Get Started email and you will land on the first step: your contract. It is generated for you and pre-filled with your company details, so in most cases you simply need to review and sign it on screen.

If something in the contract needs changing, let your Borderless contact know rather than signing. They will update it and send it back to you to sign. You will not need to start the process again.

After signing, you move straight to payment. You will be asked to provide two things: a direct debit and a card. The direct debit is your main payment method, and the card is stored as a backup and verified at this stage.

When your card is added we place a temporary authorisation hold on it to confirm it works. This is not a charge, and it is released automatically. If your bank asks you to confirm the payment with an extra security step, please complete it, as your card is not fully verified until that check is finished.

If you need to step away, you can return to the payment step later using the same link and pick up where you left off.

Once both your direct debit and card are confirmed, you can log in to the Borderless platform. You will receive a welcome email with your login link and details of your next steps, tailored to your plan.

From this point onwards you log in to Borderless to continue your setup.

The first thing to do inside the platform is add your business and your first site, in a short guided wizard. This step cannot be skipped, as these details are needed before you can set up your sponsor licence.

Please enter your business and site details exactly as they appear on your Sponsor Licence, or on your intended Sponsor Licence application. This is a compliance requirement. To make it quicker, you can look up your address by postcode, and some details are pre-filled from the information we already hold.

Once your business and site are added, we ask whether you already hold a sponsor licence, and guide you down the right path.

If you already hold a licence, you connect it to Borderless by completing your representative details. If you do not yet hold one, we guide you into the licence application instead.

Alongside this, you can add your roles, individuals and any existing sponsored workers. These are recommended next steps you can complete at any time, so you can get full value from the platform from the start.

If you did not receive your Get Started email, or your link has stopped working, contact our team and we will help you get a fresh link.

If you have signed but nothing seems to be happening, the most common reasons are that the card security check was not completed, or that the business and site step has not been finished. Completing those will let you move on to the next step.
