Job Description Accuracy Confirmation
When you create or submit a job description β whether for a sponsorship offer, CoS request, or DCOS named individual β you'll now see a confirmation checkbox below the job description field. You must tick this to confirm the description accurately reflects the role before you can submit.
If you edit the job description after ticking, the checkbox resets and you'll need to confirm again. Job descriptions pre-populated from a role template are also automatically reworded by AI to ensure each submission is distinct β your duties and requirements are preserved, but the wording is refreshed.
Suspended Sentence Rule Update
Following a change to UK immigration rules effective 22 March 2026, a suspended sentence of 12 months or more issued on or after that date is a mandatory ground for refusal of a Skilled Worker visa. If this applies to a candidate, the platform will now flag this at the criminal history stage and prevent submission with a clear explanation.
Suspended sentences under 12 months, or sentences issued before 22 March 2026, are not affected by this rule.
Afghan Nationals: Entry Clearance No Longer Available
Nationals of Afghanistan can no longer apply for a Skilled Worker visa as entry clearance (from outside the UK). If this applies to a candidate you are sponsoring, you will see a clear message when you attempt to submit a CoS request.
This restriction does not affect Afghan nationals who are already in the UK and switching employers or extending their visa.
