Guidance on making changes to named individuals on your CoS request

Written by Tom Hext

You can edit named individuals on a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) request before submitting it to our immigration team for review, making it easier to update details without starting again.

🧭 How to edit a named individual

  1. Open your CoS request

  2. Go to the Named Individuals section

  3. Select the individual you want to update

  4. Click Edit

  5. Update the required information

  6. Save your changes before submitting the request for review

✅ Why this is helpful

  • Quickly correct or update details

  • Avoid removing and re-adding individuals

  • Save time during the CoS request process

  • Ensure information is accurate before review

🗑️ Removing a named individual

If you remove a named individual from a CoS request, any documents uploaded against them, including their employment contract and payslips, are discarded with them. If you re-add the same person later, you will need to upload their documents again, so check you have copies saved before removing anyone.
