You need to upload:
Your passport
BRP
PAYE reference number
Accounts office reference number
CQC registration certificate
Business bank statement
How many documents you need
Most organisations need to send a minimum of 4 documents (or 4 combinations of documents) with their sponsor licence application. A small number of organisation types listed by the Home Office need to send fewer, or none. If you cannot provide one particular document, you can usually make up the total with other documents from the accepted list.
Your Corporation Tax documents (CT600 and CT603)
If you are using your Corporation Tax registration as one of your documents, the CT600 (your Company Tax Return) must be provided together with the CT603 (the notice from HMRC telling you to file the return). One without the other is not enough on its own. HMRC's acknowledgement of a Company Tax Return (CT620) is also accepted.
If your business is in its first accounting period and HMRC has not yet issued a CT603, you will not have this document yet. That is fine: provide four other documents from the accepted list instead.
PAYE and Accounts Office reference numbers
These appear on a letter issued by HMRC when you registered as an employer for PAYE. Please upload that HMRC letter.
The Accounts Office reference is 13 characters, for example 123PX00123456. Enter it exactly as it appears on your HMRC document, with no spaces.
Right to work documents for your staff
British and Irish citizens do not need a right to work check for this purpose. A clear copy of their passport is enough.
For anyone you already sponsor or intend to sponsor, upload a clear, readable copy of the documents requested, such as a passport and contract. Files that are corrupted or will not open will be sent back for re-upload.
Your organisation's structure
The Home Office asks for a hierarchy or organisation chart showing all positions from owners and directors downwards, along with any vacant positions you intend to fill with sponsored workers.
For each sponsored worker, include their full name and their employment start date with you.
Where to check the full list
The complete, current list of accepted documents is set out in the Home Office's Appendix A guidance: Appendix A: supporting documents for sponsor licence applications.
